Abby has over 20years of dance training under her belt, gaining her dance knowledge from many schools around Melbourne including Dance World 301, United Styles, and studying full time dance and performing arts at Tony Bartuccio’s Dance & Performance Centre.
At the age of 16 her dynamic performance skills were recognised when she became the youngest EVER professional NBL cheerleader and went on to win the “PROFESSIONAL CHEERLEADER OF THE YEAR” choreography & dance competition a few years later competing against cheerleaders from all professional sporting teams across AUSTRALIA.
The director of the successful professional dance group GLAMAZONS AUSTRALIA, she has travelled the world choreographing and performing with artists such as Savage, Montel Jordan, Havana Brown, The pussycat Dolls, Tim Campbell and more, as well as performing & choreographing for high profile events such as Crusty Demons, The Melbourne Tigers Dodo Electricity Dancers, Kid’s Fashion Week & the AFL to name just a few.
Acting has also been a major part of Abby’s entertainment career, working extensively for many years in film and TV. She received two Logie nominations and continues to work in the industry.
Her main FOCUS now is passing on her extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry to her students to GUIDE them to SUCCESS and make their DREAMS COME TRUE.
Shelagh heads up the Acro department with over 40yrs experience as a gymnastics and acrobatic coach.
Her training started when she was a competitive high diver representing Great Britain. She became a qualified diving & gymnastics coach and travelled the world competing.
In 1970 she won a BRONZE MEDAL in the COMMONWEALTH GAMES 10 meter diving.
She was WORLD RENOWNED for having the longest balancing handstand on the diving platform and could beat all the men in handstand competitions.
Shelagh was one of the first Kinda Gym coaches in Australia and started her own program called Jumping Jacks in 1987. Our new version of “Jumpin’ Jaks” is now back at Dream Ent.
Shelagh has had enormous success with her elite tumblers performance group Acroninjas who are constantly invited to perform at events. Her highly esteemed Acroninja’s performed as the “Carlton Cadets” for the Carlton football club AFL home games. Shelagh loves seeing her tumblers grow and develop new skills.
Tessa is a recent graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Bachelor of Fine Arts Dance).
During her time at the VCA she was taught by many talented and knowledgeable teachers, including Tim Harbour who is a resident choreographer for the Australian Ballet and Stephanie Lake who is a highly acclaimed contemporary dancer and choreographer.
Before her time at the VCA, Tessa trained extensively in classical ballet through the RAD syllabus. She also successfully competed in eisteddfods throughout the ACT and NSW winning numerous awards such as most promising dancer. Tessa has a passion for choreography and was nominated for a Canberra Area theatre award at the age of 17 for her choreographic contributions to the Daramalan Theatre Company. Having also trained in Contemporary and Jazz, Tessa has a well-rounded approach to teaching that encourages students to get the most out of their own bodies and abilities with a strong on understanding fundamental classical technique.
At a very young age, Natalie discovered she had a real passion for dance. Natalie started callisthenics training at Avonde Calisthenics College at the age of 3. Throughout her calisthenic career, she was selected to represent Victoria at National level with both her solo and as a team participant on several occasions and has also been selected for the prestigious Royal South Street Graceful Girl competition.
Natalie took casual ballet classes growing up but really found her love for jazz and ballet when she joined Barbara Lynch Dance Studio in 2007.In 2012 Natalie was accepted into APO Arts Academy – Dance World Studios, graduating in December 2014 with a partial scholarship.
She has had immense experience with live performance; participating in multiple flash mobs for corporate functions and performing for companies such as Cystic Fibrosis Victoria, AGL, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, NAB, Holden and Hawthorn Football Club. Natalie is also apart of ignite The Dark jazz theatre company and has credits within the modelling, film, tv and promotional industries
Natalie has a love for teaching dance and has been for over 10 years.
